Opening new stores with shorter lead times and more savings at a large national retailer.
A large national retailer was challenged with the supply chain and distribution of corrugated boxes needed at each of their over 1,000 stores for shipping of athletic shoes and apparel. The organization was buying large quantities of boxes locally and shipping them across the country. The shipping expense was enormous, and time in transit caused service failures and delays. Office360 leveraged our nationwide distribution platform with Essendant to integrate the corrugated boxes into the retailer’s office supply program. The end result was shorter lead times and an annual cost savings on the corrugated of more than $500,000. In addition, Office360 handles the new store opening kits for all of the hundreds of new stores opened in the last 18 months.
Delivering a better budget management
A leading realty agency needed more than office products, they needed better control and management of supplies. At Office360 we participated in an RFP and won this account over Staples, but winning the business was just the beginning. Since then, we have been able to help them streamline procurement by building in controls, budgets and business rules into their online ordering hub. By adding breakroom supplies and coffee service, the realty was able to reduce suppliers and streamline departmental buying. Today all of their buyers can see where they stand on their monthly budget for both office supplies and breakroom supplies when they login to the Office360 website.
